Maths: Number Stories
Today, at Maths, we worked out the answer to our 'Number Stories'.
Question 1: Sione, Estherose and Eli went to the shops. They bought a pair of shoes, a box of strawberries and some mangos. How much money did they spend?
They spent $101.00, $10.00 and $20.00, said Sonasi and Angelina.
101 + 10 + 20 = 101 + 30 said Ellma
and Sonasi said that 101 + 30 = 131
So the children spent $131.00
Question 2:
Ellma, Lupe and Cooper went to the shops. They bought a playstation game, 3 apples and 5 mangos.
The playstation game cost $99.00, the apples cost $15.00 and the mangos cost $10.00.
How much money did they spend?
They spent 99 + 15 + 10 said Cooper.

Mother's Day
On Mother's Day I gave my Mum a hug and I gave her my Mother's Day card. I made her my Mother's Day card at school. I love my Mum and she loves me!
Having A Kind Mouth
Emma, thank you for liking me. I like you too. I love Emma and my friend Lynn. They say nice things to me and I say nice things to them. Lynn and Emma are going to come with me to my appointment on Thursday. Lynn lets me play a game with her first.

On Mother's Day my family and I went to church and we gave Mum flowers and we whispered in her ear. We said, "Happy Mother's Day". Mother's Day
On Mother's day I gave my Mum a gift. It was a flower and a necklance. I put my necklace on my Mum and she was happy.
Then we went chuch to listen to Father. At church Father said to close your eyes and then open your eyes and to remember to always go to the Bible, and to follow the Bible and the candle. After Sunday school we went into the church. Then we said happy Mother's day to all the Mums at church.
After church we went shopping and then we went home. My Mum had a happy Mother's Day!

On Mother's day we had dinner at my Dad's sister's place. She is my aunty Lou. At night we said to my Mum to close her eyes and my Mum closed her eyes. I gave my mum some flowers and a card, and also gave her a bracelet. I made my card at school and my Mum liked it very much. Then I gave her a hug. Going To The Rugby Game
On the weekend I went to watch the rugby game. I went with my family, but my nana and papa didn't come with us. I wore some black clothes because my team is The Warriors. I support The Warriors. I watched some of the game and then four minutes later my mum told me that I could go down and play.
When I got down I found some new friends. I hadn't meet them before. Their names were Titan and Brent. Titan was the little brother and Brent was the older brother. My sister Maddy was playing there too. We all played tag together. Hours and hours later I had to go because the rugby game had finished. So I said goodbye to my friends Brent and Titan. I really enjoyed myself at the rugby, and The Warriors won!!!

Easter Time
During the holidays I went to a hotel with my family. We went there to celebrate Easter. We had dinner. I ordered bacon and eggs. After dinner my cousin asked me to deliver Easter Eggs to everyone. When I gave my family an Easter Egg they said that I was wonderful! I got an Easter Egg too. It was made of chocolate and it was yum. I like Easter
Beauty and the Beast
During the holidays I went to the
movies with my mum, my dad and my family. We watched Beauty and the
Beast. The Beast put makeup on. He put makeup on because he wanted
to see what he looked like. He wanted to look handsome for Beauty because
he liked Beauty. The Beast talked to Beauty and he talked to the clock.
But Caston tried to kill the Beast because he liked Beauty and Beauty liked the Beast instead of Caston. Caston shot the Beast and cut him, but then Beauty kissed the Beast and the Beast turned into a human being. At the end Caston died and Beauty went to live with the Beast in his castle.

One day in the holidays I went to the Panmure Train Station with my family. We got on a train and we went to the Britomart Train Station. The Britomart Train Station is in the city.
When we got there we walked around to have a look. We saw a big boat on the waterfront. We took photos of the outside of the big boat, but we didn't take photos of the inside. My dad said that next Christmas his work's party might be in a hotel in the city.
After we had a good look around we went to the Panmure bus stop. We got the bus to Panmure but it took a long time and I was very tired. My favourite part of the day was going around Mission Bay in the bus. I had a cool day!

My mum, my brother and I slept over at my auntie's house for three nights. We played hide and seek and I hid outside. It was night time and the mozzies bit me and made me itch. My brother hid inside and my cousin Cameron hid next to me. Timmy, my uncle, was in and Aron, my other uncle was the last one to be found. After Aron was found we went inside. We up the stairs and we began to write. We got lots of sticky paper and we wrote jokes and put them on each others backs. Everyone laughed!
Later I went back home with my brother, my mum and my cousin Cameron. We walked to my home and then we had a sleep. I had a really good time staying at my auntie's house!

Later I went back home with my brothers and we watched Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Shark Boy and Lava Girl is a movie. When Shark Boy was a kid he fed the sharks. After that he lost his dad but some of the sharks remembered him. They took him to the shark place and they looked after him. Later Max took Shark Boy to his house. Lava Girl gave him a smile and then they went away together. I loved the movie because it was funny.

In the holidays I went to my cousins' house for a sleepover. My cousins' names are Serah, Asua and Satula. Satula is my little cousin. Satula is only one year old.
While I was staying with my cousins we went to Rainbow's End. First, when we got there, we went on the rollercoaster ride. It was lots of fun because we went up and down, and around a loop. I was screaming but it wasn't scary.
The next ride that we went to was called the 'AA Drivers Town'. We had to drive the cars on our own. It was like driving on a real road and it had some street signs. I felt great that I could read the street signs!
Next we went to the restaurant and we ate sushi and salmon. I love sushi. For desert we had ice cream with syrup, chocolate and sprinkles.
Then, because I was feeling sick from eating too much desert, we went home. Once we got home we had a rest. I felt better after I had had a sleep. I had a great time with my cousins at Rainbow's End!

cousins. Only two of my cousins came with their mum and dad. My
cousin Celeste didn't come with her mum or dad. Instead she came with our
aunty Neka. So did my cousin Jayden. My aunty Neka is Jayden's mum.
Ten hours later the game started. The Warriors were versing the Roosters. Twelve hours later the Warriors had scored twelve points, but the Roosters had zero. Then the Roosters scored some points and started to catch up with the Warriors. Then a minute later it rained and so we moved to get some cover by moving up a little bit.
Then the Roosters were winning. They had more points than the Warriors. After that it started to rain on our side of the stadium but we didn't get wet because we put our hoods on our heads. We did this for safety reasons.
Twenty-five hours later two of the Rooster players scored. The Roosters had scored ten points and the Warriors had scored 14 points. The Warriors had won! Everybody shouted, "Five, four, three, two, one, zero!" The Warriors had won the game and everyone was happy and they shouted. We shouted too. Then we packed up our things and went home.
When we got home I used my iPad and then I fell asleep until the next day. The next day was a school day.

The Funerals
During the holidays I went to a funeral. It was my Nana's funeral. She died because she had cancer. My Mum cried and I cried too. Lots of people came to my Nana's funeral.
After that funeral there was another funeral. It was my Auntie's funeral. She died in America. She was my Dad's sister. I felt sad for my Dad and his sister.
We had a feast after the funeral. That made everyone a little bit happier.

In The Holidays
In the holidays I went to the Panmure Swimming Pools with my brother and my mum. Before we went there we changed into my swimming togs and we wore our clothes over the top.
When we got to the pools we went to the inside pool. My brother wanted us to have a race but we needed to hold hands. This means that we could only paddle with one hand. It is like we were one person. My brother won the race.
After we had swum for a while my mum called us to tell that it was time to go home. So my brother and I went and had a shower. I went first and then my brother. After we had had a shower we changed into our clothes. Then we went home. I like going to the Panmure Swimming Pools. I went there Thursday and Friday.

During the holidays I went to the beach with my mum. At the beach I saw little waves going onto the shore. I tried to stop them, but I couldn't stop them, they just kept going onto the shore. I also used my shovel to scoop up the sand. I dug a big hole in the sand with my shovel. But when I tried to dig too much I found out that it was solid, and so I could only dig a little bit at a time. It was fun at the beach.
After that we went back home. At home I had a rest. Later we went to Martha's Backyard shop to buy some picnic food, some cheetos and some picnic cheeseballs. I like Martha's Backyard food. Next we went to the Onehunga Dressmart Shopping Mall. We bought Sushi and it tasted good. We bought a map of part of the world. Later we went back home and ate dinner. I ate popcorn with my brothers and sisters, and my mum. We watched a movie. It was a Sponge Bob movie. We had a fun day at my friend's birthday party and eating popcorn. Also, the movie was fun!

When we got home my dad said that we would be going back to Mount Wellington again on Sunday with my sister. I said that my sister and I would have a race up the mountain. My mum smiled and said that she would be the judge. I am looking forward to next Sunday.

During the holidays I went to the movies. I went with my mum, my dad and my little brother. We saw Little Pony. The Little Pony was called Twilight Sparkle.
In the movie Twilight Sparkle learnt about making friends. Then she went with Spike to make some new friends. Spike was a dragon.
After the movie I went to Inflateable World with my mum and dad. We jumped on the Bouncy Castle. I had a great day.

My Mum's Birthday Party
During the holidays all of the people in our family came to my house to celebrate my mum's birthday. We decorated the house for her. She loved it and she was happy. I had to go to bed early but my mum let me go on my iPad.
I had the best time of my life because my mum let me make my own friuit punch, and my brother made me raspberry sprite and raspberry coke. They tasted very very good!

During the holidays it was my birthday. I am now 7 years old. I had a singing birthday. My whole family sang happy birthday to me. They made me happy.
It was also my sister's birthday. She is now 7 years old too. Her name is Estherose. We are twins.
For my birthday my mum bought me a cake. It was made of chocolate and it tasted good. We had 3 candles each on our cake.
My 2 sisters and I blew out the candles. After that my family and I ate our birthday cake. We all enjoyed it!
